The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, which is the sole and complete authority, rejecting all human creeds (Galatians 1:8-9; Revelation 22:18-19).
God
- God is the great ‘I AM’, the source of all being (Exodus 3:14)
- God presents Himself to us in the Bible as the only true God (1 Timothy 6:15; Psalms 117:2)
- To honor Him, we must serve the needs of our fellow man (Galatians 6:2; 1 Peter 4:8-10)
- He gave His only begotten Son that we might live (John 3:16)
- His Son died on the cross so sins can be forgiven (John 3:16; 1 John 4:9-10)
- He extended mercy and grace at great sacrifice to Himself (Titus 3:4-5 & 2:11-14)
Jesus
- Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Matthew 3:17)
- He came to earth to save us from our sins and reconcile us to God the Father (Matthew 20:28)
- Jesus was God and man (Philippians 2:5-8)
- He was born of a virgin (Matthew 1:18-25)
- He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15)
- He died on the cross for all mankind, providing the perfect sacrifice for our sins through the shedding of His blood (Matthew 27)
- He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven to the Father’s right hand, and will return in power to receive His own (Matthew 28:5-6; Acts 1:9-11; Matthew 29:31-34)
Salvation
- Given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:3-7)
- Demonstrated through repentance, confession, baptism, and commitment to Christ-likeness (Acts 2:37-39; Romans 6:3-4; Galatians 3:27-29; Colossians 2; 1 Peter 3:21; Acts 8:35-38)
- Jesus is the only way to Heaven (Acts 4:12; John 14:6)
The Church
- The Church is the body, bride, and dwelling place of the Lord. We strive to worship based on the first-century Church, without additional creeds (Ephesians 1:22-23; 6:25-27)
- Its purpose is to glorify God (1 Timothy 4:11; 1 Corinthians 6:20)
- Our congregation is led by a group of men called Elders, who are the spiritual leaders of the members (1 Timothy 3:1-8) and Deacons, who lead by example and carry out of the tasks assigned to them by the Elders. In other words, Deacons serve the flock by meeting the physical needs of the church (Acts 6:1-3)
