Where would churches be without faithful, vibrant, Christian women who do so much for the Master? At Hartsville Pike, ladies are involved in great work like writing notes of encouragement to the sick, bereaved, and shut-in members. They also prepare food for the sick and for families who’ve lost loved ones. Special Holiday Baskets have been prepared and delivered for years. Our ladies are constantly involved in planning events, including an annual Ladies’ Day, special dinners, wedding and baby showers, as well as VBS, activities for both adults and children, and summer camps.
2x2s

These two groups, known as 2x2s, gather each month to have lunch together and then to focus on visiting Hartsville Pike’s shut-in members and sending cards of encouragement. This ministry began in 2012.
Ladies’ Sewing Group
These ladies have consistently produced projects such as lap and full-sized quilts to donate to those in need and little girls’ dresses made from pillowcases. Many dresses have been sent to missions both in the United States and foreign areas.

The group also makes fabric accessories for walkers and wheelchairs, and these are also shared through our Medical Equipment Ministry. The sewing group maintains a supply of quilts they’ve lovingly sewn for distribution within the community, local schools, and the local hospital.
Special Projects

Frequently, there are requests for items supporting groups outside the congregation, that are organized by our ladies, including book and purse drives for HATS; coat and clothing drives, The MAGI Project, etc.
MAGI (Making a Godly Impact) Project is sponsored by Healing Hands International. Its intent is to provide necessary and fun items for children in foreign countries in the form of a gift box. School supplies, hygienic items, and fun games, toys, etc., are included in each box.
