Full-Time Pulpit / Preaching Minister Job Description

Position Summary
Seeking a spiritually mature minister committed to preaching God’s Word. The minister will partner with the elders to grow faith, strengthen worship, encourage members, and equip the church for evangelism.
- Responsibilities
- Pulpit Preaching: Prepare and deliver Christ-centered, biblically sound, thought-provoking, and practical sermons.
- Teaching & Equipping: Lead assigned Sunday and midweek Bible classes. Mentor and support fellow teachers through shared resources and constructive feedback.
- Discipleship & Outreach: Model discipleship and equip members to share the Gospel. Coordinate with elders and deacons to strengthen community evangelism and service in addition to other congregational opportunities.

- Exhibits integrity, self-discipline, and a servant-leader mindset.
- Faithful Christian man whose life meets the biblical standards expected of a teacher of God’s word.
- Strong commitment to New Testament Christianity and the authority of Scripture.
- Growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrated through godly character and faithful service.
- Love for preaching, teaching, evangelism, and discipling others.
- Possesses sound knowledge of the Scriptures and the ability to teach them accurately.
- Experience: Prior experience as a pulpit minister preferred but not required.
- Education: Formal degree in biblical studies, ministry, or preaching preferred but comparable experience will be considered.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, effective communicator, strategic time management, and dedication to ongoing professional growth.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Salary and benefits are negotiated with the elders based on training and experience.
